    We are looking for people who are passionate about providing exceptional guest experiences. As a Guest Advocate, you will welcome and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery. You will be knowledgeable about our physical and digital services and solutions, helping guests make the most of their shopping experience. Whether at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, or drive-up, you will make shopping effortless and seamless for our guests.

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for individuals who are attentive, helpful, detail-oriented, and interested in educating guests and selling products and services. You should also be willing to learn and adapt to evolving technology needs. We value teamwork and independence, so being able to work well with a team and independently is important.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    As a Guest Advocate, your responsibilities may include:

    • Welcome and authentically greet all guests, observing their needs and tailoring your approach accordingly
    • Provide a welcoming experience and engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to understand their specific needs
    • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve guest issues and improve their experience
    • Scan and bag items efficiently and neatly, following food safety standards and best practices
    • Inform guests about current and upcoming launches, store activities, and events
    • Promote and assist guests with applying for the Target RedCard and using the Target App
    • Assist guests with fulfillment services, such as Order Pick Up and Drive Up
    • Deliver exceptional service while resolving any negative situations and following Target's policies and procedures
    • Maintain a clean work area and support the store with stocking supplies
    • Ensure safety, compliance, and ethics in all tasks
    • Support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up, complying with relevant laws and regulations
    • Perform other duties as needed

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Effective communication and positive language
    • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
    • Willingness to educate guests and sell products and services
    • Ability to learn and adapt to evolving technology

    WORKING AT TARGET

    We care about our team members and want to ensure that you have a clear understanding of some important basics:

    • Accurately handle cash register operations and transactions
    • Ability to work outdoors in various climates
    • Efficiently and safely handle and move merchandise, including lifting items up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds
    • Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with regular attendance
