About the Staffing Coordinator Role As a staffing coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by managing the allocation of available resources within the Department of Nursing on a shift-by-shift basis. You will review staffing recommendation reports, compare them with unit staffing resources and requests, and collaborate with charge RNs to meet staffing needs. Additionally, you will analyze staffing patterns and trends to ensure a balanced workforce, making decisions regarding hiring or granting excused absences. Your role will also involve communicating with staff regarding absences, placements, and availability to work. Furthermore, you will assist in orienting nurse managers, nursing supervisors, and RN staff to staffing practices and procedural guidelines. Qualifications - High school graduate or GED required. - Prior experience in a patient care or support role within an inpatient care unit preferred. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Proficient computer skills. Compensation and Benefits - Competitive hourly pay range: $19.58 - $27.24. - Comprehensive benefits package. - Full-time schedule, ranging from 64-80 hours per pay period. - Varying shifts, 8-hour duration. - Work every other weekend and holiday.
