ALL ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION

Our Assets Protection (AP) teams are responsible for keeping our guests, team members, and brand safe. They work to prevent theft, fraud, and other security risks in order to make sure that our products are always available for our guests.

As a Target Security Specialist, you can expect:

• To develop skills in keeping team members and guests safe
• To gain experience in crisis response, safety, and crowd management
• To learn de-escalation techniques and how to prevent theft
• To have the opportunity to work with our video surveillance system
• To learn how to document cases using industry case management systems

Responsibilities of a Target Security Specialist:

• Welcome and assist guests and team members throughout the store
• Maintain safety and security standards in and around the store
• Respond to security incidents and accurately document them
• Resolve guest issues and provide a safe environment
• Recover stolen merchandise and prevent theft
• Check receipts for high-value merchandise
• Properly document all incidents
• Use our video surveillance system effectively
• Train team members on merchandise protection
• Educate team members on shortage prevention
• Work safely and maintain a clean store
• Provide excellent service to our guests
• Follow ethical conduct, safety, and compliance guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to stock, set, and sell Target products
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Compliance with state or local licensure and legal requirements
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Time management and prioritization skills
