    As an On-Demand TM, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule.

    Instead of being included on the posted weekly schedule, you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that are posted by leaders or other team members using our myTime mobile scheduling app. This allows you to choose shifts that align with your availability.

    We require active engagement from you by picking up and working shifts and responding to our attempts to contact you.

    We will reach out to you throughout the year using the contact information you provide to confirm your availability and interest in working shifts at Target. If we don't receive a response, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated.

    Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain employment.

    Your communication and availability when our business needs you the most are crucial for your success in this role.

    If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and complete a short-term structured training schedule to ensure you are prepared for your new role. After that, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up shifts you desire to work.

    As a Guest Advocate, you will have the opportunity to:

    A typical day as a Guest Advocate may include the following responsibilities:

    • Deliver exceptional guest service by adhering to service standards
    • Welcome guests authentically
    • Recognize whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact and tailor your approach accordingly
    • Engage with guests by asking questions to understand their specific needs
    • Be knowledgeable about the products and services available in the store and use that knowledge to enhance the guest experience
    • Express genuine gratitude to guests and ensure they feel valued and appreciated
    • Efficiently scan, bag, and handle guest items while adhering to food safety standards and company practices
    • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy and guest service
    • Inform guests about brand launches, store activities, and events
    • Explain the benefits of the Target RedCard and assist guests with the application process
    • Familiarize guests with fulfillment services and guide them through the enrollment and usage process
    • Show guests how to utilize the Target App and its features
    • Handle returns efficiently and follow register prompts
    • De-escalate negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience
    • Provide seamless service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area
    • Prioritize ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
    • Work safely, identify hazards, and comply with safety policies and practices
    • Support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up while maintaining compliance with relevant laws
    • Perform other duties based on business needs

    • Accurate handling of cash register operations and cash transactions
    • Efficient and safe handling of merchandise, including lifting up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally
    • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with regular attendance required
    • As an on-demand TM, you can work as much or as little as you like. However, active engagement is essential. You must pick up and work shifts via our myTime mobile app and respond to our attempts to contact you. Failure to do so may result in the termination of your employment. You must also work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain employment.
