Job Advertisement: Compliance Business Control Officer About the Role: We are seeking a Compliance Business Control Officer who will play a strategic role in our organization. As a technical expert in our field, you will contribute to our directional strategy and make a significant impact through complex deliverables. Your responsibilities will include strengthening and enhancing our Global Regulatory Monitoring program, driving projects to advance our Monitoring Risk Management Program, and managing the framework for identifying and assessing regulatory risks. You will also lead strategic program implementations and provide advice and counsel related to technology and operations. This role requires strong communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others. Responsibilities: - Contribute to the development, maintenance, and implementation of enterprise-wide standards and strategies for our Global Regulatory Monitoring program. - Drive various global projects to advance the Monitoring Risk Management Program and contribute to strategic Core Operations initiatives. - Manage the framework for identifying and assessing Core Operations regulations and regulatory risks for each line of business. - Identify and analyze regulatory control risks and emerging risks specific to transaction monitoring. - Establish a framework to assess regulatory regulations and risks, identifying typologies and required monitoring controls. - Lead strategic program implementations for the Global Monitoring Risk Management & Policy team. - Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. - Act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and other team members. - Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, considering the firm's reputation and compliance with laws and regulations. Qualifications: - 6-10 years of operations experience in financial services, with a strong understanding of Core Operations relevant business domains. - Experience in Transaction Monitoring and/or Risk Assessment, and developing policies and procedures. - Management experience. - Balanced blend of analytical, problem-solving, reporting, and communication skills. - Ability to assess business transactions and products in terms of associated regulatory risks. - Advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and follow up. - Experience using databases and tracking tools to enforce global consistency. - Excellent writing and presentation skills. - Experience collaborating across various areas of the organization and presenting to senior management. Education: - Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master's degree.
