Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 (MT2) Opportunity at Target

About the Job:

• Starting pay range: $34.85 - $40.25 per hour
• Tuition reimbursement program available
• Benefits eligibility within two weeks of employment
• Currently hiring for various shifts:
  • A2 Key - Saturday, Sunday, Monday from 6:00pm to 6:00am
  • B2 Key - Tuesday through Friday from 4:00pm to 2:00am
  • B3 Key - Tuesday through Friday from 8:00pm to 6:00am

About the Position:

As an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 (MT2), you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing automated material handling equipment at our supply chain facility. You will use preventive and predictive maintenance processes, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, and work with other technicians to find solutions. Your responsibilities will also include performing root cause analysis for equipment failures and training other technicians.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain one)
• PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices
• Experience in work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, basic blueprint and schematic reading, electrical and electronic principles, basic metal fabrication and welding and industrial controls and electronics

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate degree or vocational school certification in the Mechanical or Electrical field
• 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
• Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards
• Experience with robotic operation/maintenance

Physical Demands:

• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching
• Lifting and moving up to 49 pounds
• Walking frequently within the work site
• Ability to work at heights and climb ladders
• Full manual dexterity and coordination
• Working in various conditions, such as small spaces, different temperatures, and uneven surfaces
