    About the On-Demand Team Member role:

    As an On-Demand Team Member, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those who prefer a personalized work schedule.

    As an On-Demand Team Member, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule. Instead, you have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members through our myTime mobile scheduling app. We expect active engagement from you by picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our attempts at contact.

    Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment with Target.

    If offered a position as an On-Demand Team Member, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and a short-term structured training schedule to prepare you for your new role. After that, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to select the shifts you desire to work.

    About the Service & Engagement Team:

    Guest Advocates are responsible for creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for our guests. They exceed guest service expectations by providing exceptional service at all touchpoints, both physical and digital. They are knowledgeable about our products and services and promote them to drive guest loyalty. They make shopping effortless and seamless for guests at various service areas.

    Responsibilities of a Guest Advocate:

    • Demonstrate a service culture and deliver exceptional guest service
    • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests authentically
    • Observe and understand guest needs and tailor your approach accordingly
    • Engage with guests in a genuine and helpful manner
    • Be knowledgeable about our tools, products, and services to assist guests
    • Thank guests sincerely and let them know we appreciate their business
    • Efficiently scan and bag items while following food safety standards
    • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy
    • Inform guests about brand launches, store activities, and events
    • Promote and assist guests with Target RedCard applications
    • Explain and guide guests in using the Target App and its features
    • Handle returns and resolve guest concerns according to Target's policies
    • Provide excellent service to guests using Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry services
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area
    • Work in compliance with safety policies and best practices
    • Support additional guest services as required by business needs

    Additional Information:

    • Accurate handling of cash transactions
    • Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 15 pounds (occasionally up to 40 pounds)
    • Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Active engagement required as an on-demand Team Member via the myTime mobile app
    • Regular attendance is necessary
