    Job Description

    Alliance HR currently has an opening for an HR Assistant. This position can be either part-time or full-time. The hours for this positions will range from 8:00AM-4:3-PM Monday-Friday. The pay for this position will be $17.00 an hour, will review based on experience. Candidates must have very good computer skills with data entry accuracy.

     

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the Human Resources and Safety Departments.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

    · Ensures accuracy on all data entry.

    · Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.

    · Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records and documentation.

    · Assists employees with questions relative to standard policies, benefits, beneficiary changes, etc.

    · Assists with benefits administration and reconciles the monthly benefit invoices.

    · Assists with new hire on-boarding and orientation.

    · Review employment-related paperwork to ensure proper completion, obtain necessary supporting documents and ensure compliance with applicable laws and Company policies.

    · Oversees employee badge maintenance

    · Maintains manpower reports and employee listings

    · Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, group meetings, holiday luncheons and other celebrations.

    · Updates and posts employee birthday calendars.

    · Assists with tracking mandatory and non-mandatory training.

    · Assists with Short-term disability administration

    · Follows and assists with implementation of quality policies and procedures defined in the Matthews Industries Quality Policy Manual (QPM) as well as other company initiated guidelines.

    · Perform all others duties, as assigned.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    · Strong verbal and written communication skills

    · Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism

    · Excellent attention to detail

    · Good organizational skills

    · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint and Outlook)

    · Basic knowledge of HR processes

    · Ability to meet deadlines

    · Willingness to learn and grow in HR

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    · High school diploma or equivalent

    · Two or more years of administrative support experience in human resources or related field

    · Proficient in the use of desktop computers and applications including Microsoft Applications

    · Must be reliable and dependable in attendance

    · Requires long periods of viewing a computer screen

    · Requires close vision, distance vision and depth perception
