    JOB SUMMARY

    The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering review, consulting, and risk management advice relating to electrical engineering to support independent/owner’s engineering services. The candidate will also be involved in SOW development, proposal preparation and reports delivery to our clients (project developers, EPCs, independent power producers, lenders, investors, financial institutions). This opportunity has a strong project management component and candidates will be managing several small and large projects simultaneously. The candidate should also be able to resolve conflicts, communicate effectively with clients, be comfortable working in a small group environment, and willing to put in extra effort to coordinate activities across global time zones.

    Primary tasks will include electrical design, electrical design review, independent engineering, due diligence, and consulting related to electrical power systems for solar power plant owners, financiers and operators.

    • Develop and/or review conceptual and detailed design of solar plant electrical systems
    • Develop and manage project execution in coordination with the rest of the team managing scope, deadlines, and budget
    • Preparation of electrical studies including load flow, reactive power capability, short circuit, relay coordination, arc flash
    • Due Diligence assessment including independent review of solar PV designs, testing/commissioning procedures and QA/QC documentation
    • Development of technical specifications, scopes of work, and proposals
    • Write and review technical reports
    • Site visits, inspection, and construction monitoring of Solar PV plants

    QUALFICATIONS

    • 3+ years’ experience designing commercial solar PV systems.
    • BS in electrical engineering, structural engineering, construction management, or other related discipline.
    • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code
    • 3+ years’ experience working with AutoCAD with an understanding of layer control, dimensioning and scaling, sheet sets, blocks, xrefs, line weights, plot files, and file transmission.
    • Ability to communicate among construction, technical and non-technical personnel, both internally and outside the company.

      Preferred Qualifications

    • Medium Voltage engineering experience.
    • Experience designing energy storage systems
    • Hands on experience commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting solar PV systems.
    • NABCEP certification.
