Experienced Associate or Senior Associate level (2 to 4 years SOC 2 experience)
JOHANSON GROUP LLP has exceptional career opportunities available for an IT Audit / SOC 2 Experienced Associate, mostly responsible for business process and IT control related auditing, specifically focusing on System and Organization Control (SOC 2) engagements.
At JOHANSON GROUP LLP, auditors will be working with companies from venture backed small startups to Fortune 500 multi-national companies. Our auditors develop strong working relationships with clients by providing high-quality customer service and focusing on their business, IT/security risk and control requirements.
Qualifications:
- 2 -4 years of direct SOC2 audit experience
- Fundamental understanding of audit principles such as risk assessment, materiality, independenceand sufficiency of evidence
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, IT or related field
- Prior responsibilities should include performing SOC 2 audits, and controls reviews along with recommending, designing and advising on applicable IT controls
- Have a good understanding of relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., SSAE 18/SOC 2) and best practices and methodologies to address these requirements. Ability to apply these requirements to organizational internal control frameworks
- Understanding of technical concepts related to cybersecurity, virtualization, data center, cloud computing, and the like
- Must be able to interpret/relay technical information to all levels of technical aptitude, including senior management. This includes written and oral communications
- Documentation skills and attention to detail are a must. Ability to articulate, write and present information in a clear and understandable manner and to meet the re-performance standard required for supporting our audit work
- Strong time management, project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities successfully within a deadline-driven environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and assimilate business processes
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products; particularly Excel and Word
- Demonstrated integrity, maturity, dependability, and a strong work ethic within a professional environment
- The ability to work independently (remotely) and as part of a distributed team
- Solid, fast and reliable Internet connection at your location
Nice to Have:
- Has or will obtain a relevant professional designation such as CISA, CISSP, CIPP, etc.
- Experience with SOC 2 readiness platforms (e.g., Vanta, Drata, Tugboat Logic, etc.)
