    Job Description

    PARALEGAL

    Denver Law Firm has an opening for a full-time, high-performing paralegal to join our team. Duties will include initial client intake, maintaining attorney calendars, preparing legal pleadings and legal correspondence, as well as organizing and maintaining client files. Paralegals are also asked to file pleadings with ICCES, ECF/Pacer and will help prepare for trials by organizing exhibits and assisting with other tasks as required.

    JOB DUTIES

    • Draft correspondence, motions, proposed orders, discovery, reports, and other various documents.
    • Knowledge of the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure applicable to litigation, court procedure, and deadlines.
    • Interface with outside counsel, experts, clients, and potential clients.
    • Draft and manage critical deadlines relative to court timelines.
    • Prepare documents for coordination of signatures.
    • Responsible for the flow of information and disseminating the appropriate documentation to multiple parties.
    • Obtain and follow up concerning records from third party providers.
    • Ensure all documents are complete and filed appropriately.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited institution.
    • Legal Training or Paralegal certification preferred.
    • 2+ years experience as a Paralegal

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Background in personal injury and medical malpractice law.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
    • Experience working in a dynamic environment with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to exercise excellent judgment and discretion.
    • A high degree of professionalism and a strong work ethic.
    • Strong time management, organizational skills, detail-oriented and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, Outlook, and Colorado Courts E-Filing.
    • Be a team player with a positive attitude.

    Expected salary for this position is $65,000.00
