The Burns Interns provide meaningful work, in conjunction with ongoing support and guidance, to ensure you have a valuable experience and prepare you for professional career.
We have also partnered with Fannie Mae’s Future Housing Leaders, which will provide additional support, networking, and education.
HOW DO YOU QUALIFY?
The Burns Internship Program is designed for high-performing students. We prefer candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Cumulative GPA: 3.3
- Major GPA: 3.3
- Preferred Fields of study: Economics, Finance, Philosophy, Business, Political Science for our Consulting and Research positions
PROGRAM DETAILS:
As an INTERN, you'll begin the summer with two weeks of orientation delivered by experienced team members that is similar to the training received by new employees.
The 2021 internship program will run from June 14th through August 6th. (Note: if the dates don’t work 100% for you, please still apply and we can discuss.)
- Interns will work 40 hours per week.
- Salary range is $20–$25/hour based on the market you are hired in
- Dates applications accepted:
- Interviews will be completed starting mid-March
- Our preference will be for candidates that are open to in-person. If we don’t fill in-person positions, we will then consider remote candidates.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
- Understanding of our organization, industry, clients, and professional experience by working side by side with our team members on their normal day-to-day tasks.
- The opportunity to develop professional and technical skills necessary for success in the business world by working with teams within our company.
- The opportunity to participate in Fannie Mae’s Future Housing Leaders and learn about other aspects of the residential housing market and opportunities within the industry.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:
- Ability to utilize your problem solving, analytical, research, and organizational skills to understand our business and assist teams in real life projects focused on knowledge management and serving our clients.
- Knowledge by participating in technical development exercises focused on management, research, finance, business development, and organizational health.
- Experience that you cannot learn in a classroom that will provide you a head start in your professional career.
