PROJECT ARCHITECT

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated person to join our firm, working directly with the Principal. In this position, you will be an integral part of our team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to wear many hats and be involved in all phases of design and construction. With a wide range of responsibilities, your professional growth will be accelerated.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collaborate on project design documents

· Develop permit/construction drawings

· Work with local building and planning departments

· Communicate and coordinate with design team consultants

· Conduct code and product research

· Perform Construction Administration

QUALIFICATIONS

· Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)

· 5-8 years of professional experience with a solid understanding of Type V construction and familiarity with building codes

· Proficiency with AutoCAD, Rhino, Photoshop, Microsoft Office

· Knowledge of California Building codes, CAL Green codes, and the Bay Area permitting process are a plus

· Prior experience managing projects and coordinating related tasks

· Critical/creative thinker with strong graphic, design and presentation skills

· Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage responsibilities on multiple projects

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
