Job Description
The primary focus of the Marketing Specialist position in the Kent North office of John L. Scott, Inc. is to provide Brokers Associates with marketing support to help them promote their listings, grow their business, and create custom marketing printed and digital pieces. This person will be an advocate and consultant for company marketing plans as well as additional projects or requests. This is truly an important role as John L. Scott is known for the excellent service we provide; the Marketing Specialist is a critical part of this mission. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Consult with brokers on marketing plans for listings to increase reach and exposure through target marketing
- and social media.
- Provide marketing assistance by designing/customizing flyers, postcards, and other printed and digital materials needed to market and promote new listings and develop buyer/listing presentations
- Create content and manage office social media accounts; promote content and best practices for brokers’ online presence
- Assist with customization and edits to brokers’ websites and listing pages
- Assist with contacts and email marketing, including the import/export of csv files, assigning company email campaigns, and creating custom email campaigns for the office and brokers
- Create logo design and visual identity for brokers personal brand while keeping in mind the John L. Scott corporate branding
- Support Office Leader in recruiting outreach, marketing campaigns/business development
- Be familiar with and able to train brokers on JLS tools and technology platform

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Marketing or related field or 3 years of practical work experience
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or other layout design software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook
- Website design using a Content Management System
- Experience using a CRM platform
- Proficient in social media platforms, e.g. Facebook, Instagram
- Portfolio of prior marketing materials
- HTML/CSS experience preferred
- Video editing experience preferred
- Constant Contact or other email marketing software experience preferred
- Real estate experience preferred but not required
- Experience designing logos preferred
- Microsoft Publisher
POSITION & BENEFITS:
- The position is full time, Monday-Friday, and is considered non-exempt for purposes of Wage and Hour Law
