We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The idea candidate would be highly motivated, energetic, take great pride in their work, and able to perform under pressure. Job Description * Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment * Sort and distribute incoming mail * Process 3 way P.O. matching invoices * Prioritize invoices according to discount potential and payment terms * Process check requests * Weekly check runs * Audit and process credit card bills * Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly * 1099 maintenance * Respond to all vendor inquiries * Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies * Assist in month end closing * Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices * Assist with other projects as needed * Work with internal management to resolve issues John Moore offers: * 5-day work week * 5 paid holidays * 2 weeks of paid vacation (upon hire) * Full benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability * $20,000 Life Insurance at no cost to you * Free long-term disability insurance * 401K with company match * Employee discounts Job Requirements: * 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable * Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable * Strong ERP knowledge * Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness * Knowledge of excel (v-lookup and pivot tables) * Distinctly self-motivated and cable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment * Proven knowledge of accounting industry Preferred: * Intaact experience Company Description At John Moore Services it's more than just a paycheck, it's a lifelong career.
