Johnson Electric (JE) is excited to announce that we are now recruiting for an Accounting Sales Analyst for our Vandalia, OH location. The purpose of this position is to provide and help interpret financial information to the leadership and management of the Industrial Products Group. The Sales Analyst will support the FP&A Manger in ensuring the IPG teams (commercial and operations being key) have information needed to achieve growth in sales and profitability. This will involve analysis of sales, margins, expenses, working capital, as well as other results and metrics that allow the management to see the impact decisions will have on the future business, as much as understanding the past results. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• CONTROL CREATION AND INPUT OF MUCH OF THE BUDGET & FORECAST PROCESS OF ALL NA IPG COMPANIES FOR ON TIME SUBMISSIONS. PLAY A CRITICAL ROLE IN THE SUPPORT OF ALL SITES WITH IPG BUSINESS INCLUDING MEXICO
• DAILY / WEEKLY / MONTHLY - CONVERT DATA FROM VARIOUS SOURCE SYSTEMS INTO REPORTS. THIS WILL INVOLVE COMBINING POTENTIALLY DISPARATE OUTPUTS INTO A COMMON FORMAT FOR USE AT DETAILED AND SUMMARY LEVELS. ENSURING INFORMATION CAN BE CHECKED AGAINST KNOWN RESULTS OR SENSE CHECKED TO ENSURE INTEGRITY. OBTAINING OTHER EXTERNAL INFORMATION TO MAKE SUCH REPORTS MEANINGFUL (NARRATIVE, COMMENTARY ETC)
• PROVIDE ADDITIONAL ANALYSIS NECESSARY TO SUPPORT THE FP&A MANAGER IN GIVING FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND GUIDANCE THAT WILL ENABLE TEAMS TO MEET OR EXCEED MONTHLY AND ANNUAL BUDGET/FORECAST SALES TARGETS. THIS WILL BE DONE BY ANALYZING SALES INFORMATION AND PROVIDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR QUOTATIONS/OPPORTUNITY. DETAIL ANALYTICAL SUPPORT FOR THE IPG DIVISION. DISPLAY CAN DO ATTITUDE TOWARDS MEETING THE NEEDS OF A FAST PACE CHANGE ENVIRONMENT
• SUPPORT FP&A MANAGER IN IDENTIFYING, MONITORING AND REPORTING ON OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT IN OPERATIONS, BUSINESS PURSUIT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. HIGHLIGHT AREAS PERFORMING BELOW EXPECTATIONS AND DEVELOP INFORMATION NECESSARY TO FACILITATE TIMELY DECISIONS FOR CORRECTION. ENSURE THAT PROMISED IMPROVEMENTS ARE PROPERLY VALIDATED AND INCLUDED INTO THE MONTHLY FORECAST PROCESS
• SUPPORT FP&A MANGER IN GATHERING NECESSARY INFORMATION TO MONITOR, IMPROVE, FORECAST AND REPORT ON KEY BUSINESS METRICS IN ADDITION TO P&L - EPR, ROCE, INVENTORY LEVELS, HEADCOUNT, CAPEX ETC

REQUIREMENTS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• LOCAL CANDIDATES
• STRONG EXCEL SKILLS. THE ABILITY TO TAKE DATA FROM MANY SOURCES, COMBINE IN A UNIFORM WAY AND REPORT OUT AS MEANINGFUL INFORMATION
• ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE OPERATIONAL ACTIVITIES OR ECONOMIC EVENTS BEHIND THE NUMBERS, AND TO QUESTION THE UNUSUAL OR UNEXPECTED
• ABILITY TO NAVIGATE MULTIPLE ERP'S, LOTUS NOTES DATABASES, COGNOS DATABASES (E.G. SEE-THROUGH DATABASE, OTHER BI, COGNOS CONTROLLER, TM1) AND SALESFORCE.COM
• ABILITY TO PROVIDE COMPLEX INFORMATION AT SHORT NOTICE. THIS MAY WELL INVOLVE THE NEED TO CONSIDER HOW TO OBTAIN DATA, HOW TO COMBINE FROM DIFFERENT SOURCES, HOW TO CHECK ACCURACY AND INTEGRITY, AND HOW BEST TO REPORT OUT IN A WAY THAT OTHERS CAN EASILY UNDERSTAND AND INTERPRET
• SALES OR DATA ANALYST
• EXPERIENCE IN ACCOUNTING IN A MANUFACTURING COMPANY

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES DUE TO ITAR REGULATIONS
• BS IN ACCOUNTING OR SIMILAR FIELD
• 3+ YEARS EXPERIENCE AS AN ACCOUNTANT
