    Compensation: $60,000 annually We’re seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our growing legal team. The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research. Responsibilities: • Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses • Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, formal discovery requests, notices, motions, summaries of depositions, memoranda, and correspondence • Conduct research, investigate facts, and develop legal arguments • Manage Attorney calendars to ensure that all deadlines are met in a timely manner. • Maintain client files, both electronic and physical • Compile and organize trial notebooks, exhibits, files, other materials, and documents. • Communicate with clients on a regular basis • Maintain a well-respected reputation amongst clients, opposing counsel, Judges, Court staff, and colleagues • Meet with prospective clients and gather case information necessary to their case. • Track all time and enter it in the case management system daily • Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping the case management system organized so all documents are readily accessible • Perform several other similar or related duties, which may not be specifically included within this job description, but which are consistent with the general level of the job and the responsibilities described Qualifications: • Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar • Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills • 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • High School Diploma or GED required college degree in Paralegal studies a plus. • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Family Law is required • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, including the use of standard computer software such as MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook and case management system applications. Experience using MyCase is a plus • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must be able to work under pressure and independently to completion Compensation: $26 - $28 hourly
