  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    Perform radiologic studies to provide information for the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    • Using proper radiation protection and precautions, prepares and operates radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable equipment.
    • Performs Xray, Dexa, Fluoroscopy, Ekg and CT exams.
    • Positions patients to obtain appropriate radiographic exposures.
    • Maintains computerized records, files, and/or reports.
    • Participates in quality control and quality assurance studies.
    • Assists the supervising radiologist and radiology manager with administrative functions.
    • Performs other duties as required.
    • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
    • Knowledge of the current trends and techniques of x-ray technology.
    • Ability to learn to conduct quality control studies; learn to use computerized radiologic equipment; learn to operate a computer for recordkeeping purposes.
    • Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients and staff.
    • Incumbents must be able to work stand-by and call-back duty and respond to a call within 30 minutes.
    • Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in the state and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
    • Possession of a CPR certification required.
    • One year of experience desirable.
    • Ability to speak in English and Spanish highly desirable
    • Prolonged periods standing, reaching and bending.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of diagnostic examinations.
