    KEY ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO:

    • Marketing / business development to establish JMT’s market presence with new clients
    • Assessing the regional market, preparing and maintaining a development plan tailored to the technical capabilities of JMT and the water utility engineering needs of the market
    • Preparing Q&E, expressions of interest, technical proposals and presentations
    • Projecting and advancing JMT presence in the market through meaningful participation in water utility industry leadership and activities

     

    SUPPORTED BY:

    • Technical Water Engineering expertise furnished by JMT Water Engineering Section Head in the DCO office
    • Proposal development support from a designated Marketing Professional in the JMT Marketing Department
    • Proposal Production support from JMT Corporate marketing
    • Market research, market visibility activities furnished by JMT corporate marketing

    Required Skills

    • Ability to analyze and track client capital programs and budgets and develop and execute project teaming strategies, proposal coordination, to secure contracts to serve those needs
    • Proven successful performance developing clients and having successfully delivered projects
    • Understanding of consulting engineering business and P/L structure and principles
    • Comprehensive understanding of water utility engineering challenges faced by water managers in the 21st century

     

    Required Experience

    Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and Professional Engineering Registration in Colorado

    Possess specific market knowledge in the Denver and broader Rocky Mountain region

    15 plus years of consulting or municipal experience with an emphasis on water/wastewater experience (plant operations, engineering, consulting, and/or management

    Established working knowledge of water/wastewater utility management principles and organization, operations and technologies

    Knowledge and experience with any or all of the following:

    • Water transmission, storage and distribution systems
    • Wastewater collection and conveyance systems
    • Pumping systems, pressure sewers and force mains
    • Watershed planning, NPS water quality management, stormwater utilitie
    • Water recycling, reclamation and reuse treatment facilities
    • “Green” technology and LID applications for water utility industry
    • Facility permitting
    • Other related water utility engineering and management activities

    Proven experience with municipal and/or privately owned water/wastewater facilities and successful relationships with owners, plant and collection systems management and field personnel, technology experts and other consultants
