    General Summary

    The broadly experienced and skilled network engineer will support, design, and deploy network equipment.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    Selected candidate will:

    • Perform root cause analysis and remediation on system issues.
    • Investigate and resolve user reported issues.
    • Design, implement, and support multiple networks.
    • Occasionally lead less experienced teammates in work tasks
    • Collaborate with system users to define problem areas and recommend paths forward.
    • Create and update documentation such as, but not limited to, HW and SW baselines, inventories, and reports.
    • Maintain secure host configuration and patching based on policies, procedures, and vulnerability announcements.
    • Research current and emerging technical solution and provide summary presentations with courses of action.

    **Required Qualifications **

    • Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 2 to 8 years of related experience
    • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information Access (TS//SCI)
    • Must successfully complete DIA Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph within 180 days of hire.
    • Ability to gain and maintain a CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or equivalent DoD 8570.01 Baseline Certification satisfying IAT Level II requirements within 90 days of hire.
    • Proficiency with productivity applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Visio), Adobe Acrobat, and other similar applications.
    • Ability to lift fifty pounds with or without an accomodation
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on customer requirements.
    • Ability to show mid-level or higher experience with and mastery of at least 6 of the following:
      • Cable plant installation and troubleshooting experience (Termination, Splicing, and Testing of Fiber Optic Cabling; Termination and Testing of Copper Cabling including, but not limited to Cat5E and Cat6)
      • Cryptographic Device integration, configuration and management (TACLANE, Network Encryptors, Key Managers, Thales/Vormetric)
      • Data center management (LAN, WAN, Rack Mounting Equipment, Facility Power Connections, Rack and Room Layout Diagrams, Inventory, Equipment Excess, Environmental Monitoring)
      • Data center virtualization (VMware Horizon, vCenter, ESXi, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
      • Enterprise and data center storage management (DDN, NetApp, Quantum, Spectra Logic, NAS, SAN, GPFS, NFS, CIFS, Lustre)
      • Hardware troubleshooting (Power, Mainboard, CPUs, PCIe, RAM, Local Storage, Network)
      • Network administration and management (InfiniBand, Ethernet, Virtualized, Cisco, Cisco ACI, Nvidia, Mellanox, TCP/IP, Route/Switch, VLANS, VXLAN)
      • Network protocols, services, and infrastructure (DNS, DHCP, FTP, TFTP, NTP, SNMP)
      • Security Engineering (Access Control, End Point Protection, HBSS, Firewalls)
      • Vulnerability Management (Patching, Remediation, Hardening, STIG)
    • U.S. Citizenship required
    • This position is located in Huntsville, AL

    **Preferred Qualifications **

    • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Access (TS/SCI) and Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph
    • Current, verifiable CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or equivalent DoD 8570.01 Baseline Certification satisfying IAT Level II requirements.
    • Experience with programming/scripting in high-level languages (C, C++, Perl, Python, Bash, PowerShell)
    • Current, verifiable Cisco CCNA certification.
    • Ability to show mid-level or hire experience with and mastery in more than 6 of the skill areas listed above.
