    The Environmental, Health, Safety & Facility (EHS&F) Manager will be responsible for developing, monitoring and auditing of health, safety, and environmental procedures, policy and training throughout the Branch.   The EHS&F Manager also oversees all building maintenance responsibilities including upgrades and build outs at the branch. The position will report to the Branch Manager and will be focused on achieving an accident free work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for implementing a safety culture within a global organization and be able to adapt to changing tasks quickly.  

    The EHS&F Manager will also be responsible for ensuring Environmental compliance with all State and Federal regulations particularly to Universal Waste disposal, recycling sustainability reporting and goals / objectives of CTDI and facility.

    Required Skills

    • Effectively manage and lead all aspects of Branches Environmental, Health and Safety Program.

    • Conduct monthly Facility Safety Audit and lead monthly Safety Committee Meeting.

    • Ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA/Federal and State specific regulations at Branch.

    • Perform focused safety audits of compliance processes, determine gaps, identify corrective action options, champion preferred options and implement gap closure actions.

    • Perform Job Safety Analysis’ to identify exposure areas of various job functions within the Branch.

    • Serve as Branch response leader for all safety and environmental related incidents to include property loss, near misses, first aid incidents, recordable incidents and lost time incidents.

    • Support Branch management and operations teams on new initiatives from a safety and training perspective.

    • Assist in the development and coaching of Branch employees and other trainers on Environmental, Health and Safety matters.

    • Support Branch management in reducing losses and effectively accommodating light duty work.

    • Maintain accurate OSHA and Environmental sustainability recordkeeping for the Branch.

    • Regularly review safety incidents to discover trends and uncover ways to foster safe incident free working environment.

    • Knowledge of proper PPE, Forklift safety, Lockout/Tag out, Injury illness prevention, HAZCOM & SDS, and Ergonomic assessments.

    • Understanding of and experience with behavior based safety principles.

    • Ability to perform a Root Cause Analysis / 5WHY Analysis and train others to the findings to eliminate future risk.

    • Lead Branch Sustainability Committee and actively work on Branch Sustainability initiatives.

    • Regularly report to Branch Leadership on Environmental Health and Safety performance.

    • Effectively manage, schedule, assign and perform duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, roofing and general building maintenance.

    • Inspect building and equipment for needed repair and maintenance.

    • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed. Troubleshoot maintenance concerns to determine root cause and solution.

    • Act as point of contact for custodial team.

    • Maintain records and prepare reports including cost analysis and proposals, etc.

    • Perform other related duties as requested by Branch Management.

    • Work with all levels of management to define and prioritize work flow.

    • Achieve ISO 14001 certification for the facility.

    Required Experience

    • 4-year degree in safety management, engineering, construction management and/or equivalent preferred.

    • 4+ years with of experience with building management and/or maintenance.

    • 4+ years safety experience, preferably in a warehousing or logistics environment.

    • Working knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical, appliances, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, drywall as well as grounds maintenance.

    • Experience working with outside vendors and contractors; including contract pricing and negotiations.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project a plus.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Proven ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues / turn projects timely and efficiently.

    • Schedule flexibility – on-call for emergency situations.

    • Professional certification preferred (ASP, CSP, STS, CIH, CSD, CSS).

    • Experienced in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 preferred.

    • Experience managing a team.

    • Experience setting and achieving goals related to sustainability and reduction of energy usage and waste.
