The Opportunity
As our Allergy Immunotherapy Nurse Specialist, you'll be the cornerstone of our immunotherapy program, combining clinical excellence with program development to deliver life-changing care to patients of all ages. You'll have the autonomy to build processes, implement best practices, and create an exceptional patient experience from the ground up.

- Part-Time Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - perfect for experienced professionals seeking work-life balance while maintaining clinical excellence
- Full-Time Position: Comprehensive role serving both of our practice locations, offering variety and the opportunity to impact a broader patient population
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence
- Perform comprehensive allergy skin testing with precision and patient comfort
- Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular immunotherapy injections to pediatric and adult patients
- Mix and prepare immunotherapy serums following USP 797 standards and protocols
- Monitor patients vigilantly for adverse reactions with immediate recognition and management of anaphylaxis
- Maintain impeccable clinical documentation and treatment records
Program Development
- Build and optimize our immunotherapy program infrastructure across practice locations
- Develop and refine clinical protocols and safety procedures
- Manage inventory and ordering of all immunotherapy supplies and medications
- Establish quality control measures for serum preparation and storage
- Create efficient workflows that maximize patient care and safety
Patient Care & Education
- Educate patients and families on immunotherapy treatment plans, expectations, and home care
- Motivate and support patients through their treatment journey
- Build strong therapeutic relationships that encourage treatment adherence
- Provide compassionate care that addresses both clinical needs and patient concerns
Administrative Excellence
- Verify insurance eligibility and manage prior authorizations
- Coordinate with providers and staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain meticulous records and compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Track and report program metrics and outcomes
Essential Qualifications
- Current RN or LPN license in good standing
- USP 797 certification required
- Minimum 2 years of allergy/immunology nursing experience
- Demonstrated expertise in allergy skin testing and immunotherapy administration
- Proven ability to recognize and manage anaphylaxis and severe allergic reactions
- Experience with both pediatric and adult patient populations
- Strong knowledge of immunotherapy protocols and safety standards
- For full-time position: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for inter-office travel
