    JOB SUMMARY

    Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates. This individual must display humility and professionalism at all time as well as personify Rybovich values and represent the Rybovich brand in a positive way. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • At the start of each shift Check that Daily Prep List is complete and sufficient prep product is available for dinner service.

    • Inform Kitchen / Dinner Supervisor immediately of prep shortages.

    • Use our Standard Recipe Card for preparing all products.

    • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.

    • Preparing premium specialty rolls / sashimi / hand rolls / traditional rolls

    • Preparation of ingredients

    • Handling and cutting of seafood

    • Excellent sanitation skill

    • Create high quality sushi including cooking rice, rolling sushi, temperature recording, cutting and packaging for take-out and dine-in plate preparation

    • Ensure all operating standards including food safety and quality are strictly adhered to

    • Show gratitude and greet every guest with a big, genuine smile and eye contact

    • Provide a high level of attention to guest satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers

    • Create connections with each guest in a friendly, professional and caring manner

    • Actively display knowledge of all food and beverage menu items and current promotions

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of sushi station

    • Order and receive raw materials and dry goods

    • Maintain daily production records

    • Perform monthly inventories and training of new teammates as required

    • Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely, using the correct procedures

    • Complete all assigned daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line station to assure a smooth dinner service.
    • Ability to prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
    • Ability to prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
    • Assume 100% responsibility for quality and presentation of products served.
    • Communicate with service staff verbally and through use of the 86 board.
    • Ability to use and understand POS ticket system.
    • Ability to understand and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE 

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
    • At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
    • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Ability to reach, bend, and stoop frequently
    • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
    • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    • High School graduate, college degree preferred.
    • 3-5 years of Title Industry experience.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain TDI Escrow Officer License.
    • Must be a licensed Notary in the State of Texas.

    Skills and Abilities:

    Strong customer service-oriented individual with good verbal and written communication skills for

    interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of the organization. Ability to elicit, analyze and

    evaluate given information from buyers, sellers and lenders. The candidate should possess a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills as well as a detail-oriented aptitude. General administrative

    abilities should include typing, filing and use of computer, calculator, copier, and facsimile machines.

    Knowledge of ResWare software is a plus.
