  • Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Interns will learn and establish basic knowledge about Mitsubishi Electric’s industrial automation product offering and contribute to product management day to day activities.

    POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Essential Functions

    • Support product management team in various aspects of the business, from strategic planning and product development to day-to-day operational activities.
    • Assist in product life cycle management, including product launches, growth plans, end-of-life planning, demo design and development.
    • Analyze sales performance and determine opportunities for improvement.
    • Perform competitive research and market intelligence.
    • Create product presentations and demonstration or promotional videos for our sales force and customers.
    • Assist in guiding marketing communications with content creation.

    Supervisory / Managerial Responsibilities

    • None

    Travel Requirements

    • Up to 10% travel based on customer demand, primarily with the United States

    ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship as a rising Junior, or Senior Student
    • Ability to handle multiple and concurrent priorities. Strong prioritization and ability to apply sound judgement in problem solving.
    • Effective listening, negotiation, and consensus building skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and presence to deal effectively with internal and external customers at all levels
    • Ability to understand complex business problems and apply strong analytical skills
    • Excellent writing, oral, and presentation skills
    • Self-starter with a positive attitude

    BENEFICIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Previous classroom and/or work experience in product marketing, product management, project management, business analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation preferred.
