    As Jonathan Beach Club F&B Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the front of house restaurant team, as well as the bar staff. The F&B manager will be tasked with working closely alongside the Assistant Food and Beverage and the Director of Food and Beverage to ensure that the restaurant and bar areas are well serviced and member satisfaction is high. The incumbent must have a great outgoing personality and be able to build a great rapport with our membership and bring a vibrant energy to the room in an upscale manner, while also being hands on. The selected ideal candidate will play the key part of making Jonathan Club an exceptional place its members could truly call a home away from home.

    Summary of Duties

    Responsible for daily operations of Main Dining Room and bar service and staff.

    Oversees Main Dining Room reservation system and controls the flow for great service, while maximizing the numbers of reservations for membership.

    Responsible for service training.

    Supports the department’s administrative duties such as payroll, scheduling, employee coaching, etc.

    Has a thorough understanding of the property's capacities for bookings and oversees training for others in this area as needed.

    Supports training for others with their knowledge level regarding the club’s food and beverage products and services.

    Creates BEO and floorplans as needed.

    Ensures members’ and guests’ satisfaction and troubleshoots any issue as needed.

    Follows proper alcohol and beverage control regulations, including identification of minors.

    Assists with events, holidays or special functions based on business needs.

    Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work office area as well as in the outlets.

    Adheres to and promotes health department standards.

    Ensures proper storage of equipment and handling of food to meet health department requirements.

    Actively supports good health and safety practices within area of responsibility as follows:

    Maintains a safe work area through good housekeeping. Keep safety equipment in good working condition.

    Actively participates in health and safety training, prevention.

    Identifies and corrects hazards and unsafe conditions.

    Participates in accident investigations.

    Maintains focus on health and safety issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management's attention or corrects at own initiative.

    Understands and oversees the execution of restaurant steps of service.

    Understands and oversees proper closing of outlets as needed.

    Works closely with FB Director on projects in various areas including, including but not limited to areas such as stewarding, inventory, uniforms control, and linens.

    Perform any other duties as assigned by direct reports.

    Job Requirements

    Flexible availabilities including weekends and holidays.

    Ability to work in a high-volume operation.

    Must be highly organized and detailed oriented.

    Comfortable knowledge level regarding product and property information.
