SAP TM Architect (Transportation Management)

Our client is looking for a SAP TM Architect (Transportation Management) to lead the TM efforts for their SAP Environment.
This is a full time position located at the headquarters in Charlotte, NC. There is some work from home flexibility but candidates should also be expected to go into the office in Charlotte, NC.
This role includes management of SAP TM resources and support of SAP TM processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the transportation management team managing SAP TM resources and supporting new processes being implemented as part of a sap go-live.
- Assist in developing the SAP transportation module. This will assist in refining and improving logistics with the end goal being, efficient, cost-effective and safe transport of its products (i.e. logistics).
- Work with the transportation management team supporting the technological design, configuration and implementation efforts around national gypsum's outbound logistics; develop the SAP software to support various modes of transportation, i.e. air, LTL, intermodal, truckload (flatbed, dry/liquid bulk, temperature controlled), rail, containerized, break bulk, and dry bulk ocean freight, etc. as well as materials handling and the supply chain process.
- Provide technical support and professional guidance on all new SAP transportation management processes for master data, transportation-order management interface, transportation mode selection, transportation capacity management, transportation planning, carrier selection, transportation execution, monitoring, and event management, transportation compliance, charge management, charge settlement, integration with other components, analytics and KPI’s.
- Translate transportation management concepts and technical requirements into a customized and efficient SAP configuration
Qualifications/Key Attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering and five years of experience as a Transportation Analyst or Consultant, or a SAP EM/TM Consultant or Consultant SAP SCM.
- The five years of required experience must include five years of experience in transportation management and logistics, and at least three years of experience in SAP TM implementation or support.
