MS Access Developer      Contract          Remote

For this position, which is at least a six month contract, you must have excellent Access skills, along with Mainframe skills and exposure to SAS.

Our client has a number of reporting programs which are not functioning correctly.

To debug and correct these issues, you must have strong MS Access (current), as well as older Mainframe skills (ie Cobol, Assembler, C) and be familiar with SAS.

Additionally, you will need to interface with the management team, explain the issues as you see them and uncover them, and explain how you are going to correct these.

Somewhat of an unusual, but not uncommon problem/project.

The work can be done remotely and there will be 35-40 hours of work each week, of which the first 2-3 months will be learning the system and taking a handoff from the outside contract team that is leaving.

So, if you have the strong technical skills needed, Access, Mainframe, etc and can provide a prior history of success in working with such issues, this is an excellent contract opportunity.
