    Job Description

    DUTIES

    Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Cause 4 Life, support the overall objectives of Joni and Friends’ Cause 4 Life department Perform duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:

    1. Identify opportunities to improve and maintain a clear process of recruitment, placement, and follow up with University Affiliated Cause 4 Life interns
    2. Track and follow up with University Affiliated Cause 4 Life internship inquiries, in a timely and efficient manner
    3. Supervise contracted Cause 4 Life leaders
    4. Develop and maintain key relationships with university and college partners
    5. Lead one or two Cause 4 Life international mission’s trips annually
    6. Assist the Senior Manager with development of marketing tools and strategies for effective promotion of Cause 4 Life in educational venues
    7. Efficiently and effectively participate in processes related to Beyond Suffering courses and conferences associated with Joni and Friends and/or area universities
    8. Assist in maintaining key relationships within academic institutions that engage or have the potential to engage with Cause 4 Life for University-Affiliated internships
    9. Assist Senior Manager in the expansion of University-Affiliated internships with possible integration with other Joni and Friends programs and partners
    10. Attend and assist in strategic meetings and communication related to Cause 4 Life
    11. Represent the Christian Institute on Disability and Joni and Friends by engaging in various conferences and opportunities as needed
    12. Other departmental projects that may be assigned by the Supervisor/Other Leadership
    13. Other projects and assignments as necessary to support the overall strategic plan of Joni and Friends

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith.
    • Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry.
    • 3+ years of relevant experience in medical or special education required
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required, Master’s or above degree preferred
    • Must be a self-starter, flexible and able to and able to multi-task in serving and managing programs, staff, and interns
    • Able to support integration with other departments
    • Capable of working well in a team environment and committed to professionalism and respect in interactions with co-workers and people served by the ministry
    • Must possess the ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines
    • Must possess ministry leadership, positive interpersonal/networking, and effective communication skills
    • Good judgment required in working with/for a diverse group of interns along with having effective and diplomatic communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Must be reliable, cooperative, and exhibit enthusiasm with self-motivation and initiative
    • Travel on an intermittent basis locally, nationally and internationally
    • Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
