We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, accounting, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to clients. This position involves preparing tax returns, providing tax planning advice, assisting clients with tax-related inquiries, and providing accounting related services to clients. There is potential for a future management and ownership opportunity in our firm for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review business and individual tax returns with accuracy and efficiency
• Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to optimize client outcomes
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports
• Engage with clients to assess their financial needs and provide tailored solutions
• Support clients by setting up and managing QuickBooks accounts
• Conduct thorough financial analysis and offer actionable recommendations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate
• 4+ years of experience in tax preparation/accouting
• Proficiency in tax software
• Strong computer skils, including experience with:
  • QuickBooks Desktop and Online
  • Microsoft Suite
  • Tax preparation software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
