THE OPPORTUNITY: GENERAL MANAGER
We’re looking for a hands-on, people-first General Manager to lead Josephine Street into its next chapter. This role is ideal for a passionate operator who thrives in high-volume, high-touch environments and knows how to build a team, drive performance, and deliver unforgettable guest experiences.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As General Manager, you’ll lead with heart, hustle, and heritage—owning the daily rhythm of the restaurant and inspiring a team to do their best work every shift. You’ll take pride in every plate, every pour, and every guest interaction, ensuring that Josephine Street continues to live up to its legendary reputation.
Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, from floor to back office
Lead, hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing, guest-focused team
Monitor P&L, labor forecasting, inventory, and cost controls
Champion food quality, service standards, and brand consistency
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations
Resolve guest concerns quickly and with care
Collaborate with marketing on events, specials, and local promotions
Jump in on the line, at expo, behind the bar—wherever you’re needed most
Model the energy, integrity, and hospitality that defines Jo Street
WHAT YOU BRING
4–7 years of experience as a General Manager in a full-service, scratch-kitchen environment
Proven leadership in high-volume operations with strong business acumen
Deep understanding of P&L, labor strategies, food costing, and scheduling
Experience with POS systems (Aloha preferred); familiarity with Restaurant365 is a plus
TABC and Food Manager certification
Calm and confident leadership under pressure
A hands-on, team-first mentality—you lead by doing
Ability to work a flexible 50–55 hour schedule, including weekends, holidays, and mixed shifts
Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
