JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Business Intelligence team started in October of 2018 and is quickly growing. That growth means that we need to grow our team, but because of the size of our team and the working environment we want to maintain, we only want to bring on the right people for the job.
_Daily job responsibilities include the following: _
IF THESE THINGS DON’T SOUND LIKE FUN, YOU’RE JUST NOT GOING TO LIKE WORKING ON THIS TEAM. AND IF IT ISN’T ALREADY CLEAR, WE REALLY WANT YOU TO LIKE WORKING ON OUR TEAM! :)
- Work with clients to assess their current organizational situation. Create project plans to address concerns while offering the correct solutions to their specific scenarios. We recognize that not all options will fit each customer the same and will adjust our approach based on the specific needs of the customer.
- Build rapport with customers and work to develop long-term relationships through delivering projects on-time, under budget, and by being genuinely fun to work with. We fully understand that without our customers, we don’t have jobs; building and maintaining good relationships with our customers is not only good for business, it’s good business.
- Create reports, dashboards, queries, data transformations, and other data related objects to change the paradigm in which a client is operating. We believe in being the catalyst in the transformation an organization will go through when they successfully use their data to grow and drive their business. This one is big. If you don’t love working with data, you won’t love this job.
- Creating training videos and content; leading training classes in-person and virtually. Not only is learning important for us, we believe learning is important for our customers. By teaching (instead of insisting that we are the only ones capable of doing the work), we build better relationships, and enable the customer to be successful on their own.
- Actively participating in the growth of our team at JourneyTEAM. We believe having a growth mindset isn’t just a business term, it’s a way of life. (If you haven’t read Mindset by Carol Dweck, you should. It’s a great book) (and if you don’t like reading books, you should. Reading books makes you a better person (Winston Churchill said so.)).
- Willingly admitting faults and striving to be a better person, team member, spouse, and contributing member of society. We know that “Leadership is not about titles or the corner office. It’s about the willingness to step up, put yourself out there, and lean into courage.” (Dare to Lead. Read this one too. You’ll like it.).
