    Summary:

    LIVE is seeking a Journeyman Administrative Assistant in a **contingent role **to provide administrative and clerical support to publishing and documentation operations. This position supports day-to-day publishing activities by assisting with document preparation, basic editing, report tracking, customer support, and coordination of business work products.

    The Journeyman Administrative Assistant supports publishing teams by ensuring accurate processing of documents, maintaining records and reports, and delivering responsive, professional customer service in support of organizational publishing objectives.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Provide administrative and clerical support to publishing and documentation activities, including preparing, tracking, and maintaining business work products and reports.

    • Perform basic document editing, formatting, and proofreading using Microsoft Office applications.

    • Prepare and update routine correspondence, reports, and supporting documentation in accordance with established formatting and publishing standards.

    • Track publishing requests, assignments, suspense dates, and deliverables using automated tracking tools and spreadsheets.

    • Maintain electronic files, document libraries, and records in accordance with established file management and records retention procedures.

    • Support interoffice and interagency coordination activities related to publishing and document processing.

    • Receive and respond to routine customer inquiries and requests in a professional and customer focused manner.

    • Provide typing and data entry support for publishing and administrative tasks at a minimum rate of 35 words per minute.

    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of documents prior to routing for review or release.

    • Support publishing staff and project personnel by coordinating routine administrative actions and providing follow-up on outstanding items.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Possesses U.S. citizenship.
    • Possesses a high school degree or GED.
    • An associate's degree in IT, Public Policy, Administration, Military Science, Library Science, Homeland Security, or English, is preferred.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in typing and editing using Microsoft Office applications.
    • Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.
    • Highly proficient mastery of the English language, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and professional writing standards.
    • At least 1 year of customer service experience, interoffice and interagency administrative support experience.
    • At least 1 year of demonstrated experience tracking or maintaining reports, records, or other business work products.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
