Bring your electrical experience to ongoing, on-site assignments serving commercial facilities and data centers, with installation or maintenance responsibilities determined by the department. Full-Time W-2 opportunities span journeyman levels I–IV and electrical foreman positions, with benefits available. The regular workday runs from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and travel is not required.
What you will do
- Review drawings, sketches, circuit diagrams, and technical specifications to select installation methods and establish task order for electrical fixtures, AC/DC motors, control panels, PLC-linked equipment, transformers, and switches.
- Install, service, and repair electrical controls and distribution hardware, including motors, thermostats, relays, switches, and circuit-breaker panels. Measure and cut wire and conduit, then bend each to the required shape.
- Use manual and powered tools, gauges, and measurement instruments to carry out installations and maintenance tasks.
- Examine and test system components such as switchgear, transformers, and transfer switches. Diagnose electrical faults and propose workable corrective actions.
- Request necessary materials, equipment, and tools while keeping inventory information complete and accurate.
- Keep management informed about progress, problems, and recommended actions. Prepare timely records describing the work completed.
- Observe established safety procedures, report potential dangers and operational risks, and use assigned vehicles and equipment safely.
