    Wright Technical Services is supporting a leading manufacturing partner in Mentor, Ohio, in the search for a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician for a 1st shift opportunity. This role is ideal for a certified or licensed electrician with extensive industrial maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a deep understanding of electrical systems, safety standards, and the National Electrical Code (NEC). The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, machinery, and equipment within a modern manufacturing facility, helping ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Candidates should be comfortable working with industrial controls, automation systems, and equipment operating up to 480V three-phase power.

     

    Job Duties Include:

    • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
    • Plan for installation of new equipment, including building electrical service capacity, circuit branch evaluation, circuit breakers, transformers, wire sizes, and disconnect requirements up to 480 volts / 3-phase.
    • Install and troubleshoot mechanical components including fasteners, power belting, pulleys, chain drives, shafting, dynamic shaft seals, bearings, lubricants, couplings, clutches, gear drives, speed reducers, and conveyor drive systems.
    • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by coordinating preventive maintenance requirements for production machines and following diagrams and sketches.
    • Assist the maintenance inventory control person in maintaining an adequate inventory of electrical parts to minimize downtime on process equipment.
    • Maintain knowledge of electrical code and regulatory changes.
    • Adhere to plant safety procedures including, but not limited to, Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, and PPE requirements; lead Lockout/Tagout audits.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Knowledge of automation including control panels, PLC concepts, VFDs, sensors, and data recording.
    • Knowledgeable in applicable electrical codes and regulations including the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, and OSHA 1910.
    • Ability to read schematics and other technical documents and use electrical schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
    • Knowledgeable in troubleshooting and tuning gas burners, including control mechanisms, safety features, flame controls, and burner rebuilds.
    • Industrial and business office ventilation experience and knowledge of industrial chemical processing environments.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.

    Experience:

    • 10–15 years of relevant experience.
    • Prior experience sourcing and managing subcontractors.
    • Ability to work on temperature controllers, including PID tuning, calibration, and installation.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role utilizes mechanical knowledge and electrical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment. With a focus on safety and quality, the Maintenance Electrician contributes to a well-functioning manufacturing environment, supporting operational goals and enhancing overall productivity.
