Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber, licensed in California, to join our team in the Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego County areas. The ideal candidate will have expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing Gas Lines systems while adhering to California plumbing codes and local building regulations. The role requires a skilled tradesperson with excellent troubleshooting abilities, a strong understanding of Gas systems, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service on every job.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain gas plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Ensure compliance with California Uniform Plumbing Code (CUPC), Los Angeles Plumbing Code, San Diego Plumbing Code, and other local regulations.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing installations.
Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot issues related to water pressure, drainage, leaks, or faulty systems.
Install fixtures and water-saving devices (e.g., low-flow faucets, tankless water heaters) in compliance with California’s Title 24 Energy Efficiency Standards.
Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in line with safety regulations (including Cal/OSHA guidelines).
Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with clients regarding plumbing needs, estimates, and solutions.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
Be on-call for emergency service as needed, including after-hours or weekend work.
Required Qualifications:
Valid California Journeyman Plumber License (issued by the California Department of Industrial Relations).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a state-certified plumbing apprenticeship program.
At least 4 years of hands-on experience in residential, commercial, or industrial plumbing.
In-depth knowledge of California plumbing codes, local building codes (Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange), and safety standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Proficiency with plumbing tools, testing equipment, and technology (pipe locators, pressure gauges, etc.).
Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Familiarity with California Title 24 energy efficiency standards.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in various settings, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial sites.
Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform physical labor.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Exposure to hot, cold, or wet conditions depending on the job site.
Some jobs may require travel between different counties (Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego).
