Plan setup and operation of all types of machine shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances, types of cutting tools, coolants, lubricants and machine tool feeds and speeds
· Weld repair and heat treatment of different materials including tool steels.
· Determine specifications for inspection of work, using precision measuring and gaging tools, performing required inspection before, during and after machining
· Perform hand operations involved in producing jigs, fixtures, tools and dies.
· Fit and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools and dies. Sets up, runs off and tests dies to produce a product to specifications, tracing die difficulties to their source and correcting same
· Tear down, repairs and reassembles tooling on the bench or in the press as required
This full-time hourly role is a part of our Tool and Die Team and reports to the Tool Room Supervisor.

Required Skills
Required Experience
General knowledge of small/light equipment and machines and the mechanical operation of equipment.
Requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical functioning of machinery serviced and ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and identify worn out parts.
Ability to understand electrical and mechanical schematics.
Ability to interpret instruction manuals.
Good knowledge of the tools and test equipment used in the diagnosis and repair of equipment serviced.
