You will learn to support active loan files, help organize documentation, and understand how transactions move from the first conversation through closing. The focus is on learning through real work, clear guidance, and repetition so you can build confidence and develop a strong understanding of how lending works in practice. Previous experience in mortgage or lending is helpful but not required. What matters most is a willingness to learn, strong communication, and the ability to stay organized while becoming familiar with loan products, systems, and compliance. You should also be open to obtaining an NMLS license as part of your long term growth. Responsibilities: • Assemble financial information to assist with loan applications, prepare loan files, and assess applicants’ financial situation and eligibility • Communicate with the senior mortgage loan officer/ MLO to make a recommendation of which mortgage loan products are best suited depending on applicant’s financial status • Collaborate with the mortgage lender or mortgage banker, underwriter, loan processor, senior MLO / mortgage loan originator, and realtors on behalf of the applicant as needed to make sure the loan transaction goes through successfully • Generate new business opportunities, get referrals, monitor sales pipeline, and meet sales expectations • Consult with potential loan applicants - answer questions and provide additional information about home loan products to create personal relationships Qualifications: • Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills are needed • Possess the intention to complete a training program to obtain NMLS/ MLO/ state license • Past experience with credit unions, lending institutions, real estate, financial services, or related fields is a bonus, but not required • Familiarity with home mortgage program guidelines and various types of loans such as FHA, commercial loans, VA, etc is beneficial, but not require • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree is desired • LMNS license required • Commission opportunity Compensation: $100,000 at plan commissions
