About the Role
We are seeking an Entry-Level Paraplanner to support our Financial Planning team. This position is ideal for someone starting a career in financial planning who is eager to learn, highly organized, and motivated to grow within the firm.
You will work closely with experienced advisors and planners, gaining hands-on exposure to real client cases, financial planning tools, and best practices. This is an internal, support-focused role with structured training and a clear path for professional development toward a future paraplanner or advisor position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with onboarding new clients, gathering financial information and providing assistance in engagement process
- Enter and maintain client data in financial planning and wealth management systems
- Assist clients with online assistance and access to client portals
- Help monitor and update account and data connections within planning software
- Access provider websites for statements, performance reporting, status and confirmations.
- Prepare and update basic materials for client meetings and reviews
- Participate in internal meeting preparation, attend meetings for note taking purposes and post-meeting follow-ups including billing
- Organize client meeting documents for client delivery and recordkeeping
- Provide CRM updates and update task management systems after client meetings
- Support the team in completing follow-up items and client requests
- Conduct basic research on financial planning topics as needed
- Collaborate with client service on post-meeting tasks when requested
- Support other lines of business as assigned
- Learn and adopt firm processes, workflows, and financial planning best practices
Qualifications & Skills
- Working towards or received bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong interest in financial planning; CFP® pursuit encouraged but not required initially
- Proficiency in using technology and learning new software tools (Wealthbox, Egnyte, Asana and EMoney a plus)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
