    JumpBunch of North/Central Long Island--a Top Childrens' Fitness program is currently looking for someone to join, lead a team of coaches that deliver weekly classes aimed at introducing young children to sports and fitness in a non-competitive environment, and manage the scheduling of classes.

    As the Manager, you will direct the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of all coaches. You will train, schedule, and coordinate all coaching activity while staying ahead of future coaching needs by proactively anticipating demand. Leading by example, a large portion of your time will be dedicated to teaching classes in schools to children ranging in age from 2-10 years. Though the specific times may vary, you will work approximately 6-8 hours each day either from your home or in the field at schools or meeting points. You will be provided with proprietary curriculum, operating systems, and equipment for classes that are resources of a nationally franchised program.

    Sample of Specific Duties for the Director:

    Coach classes daily, maintaining a schedule of 12-18 classes totaling approximately 10-15 working hours per week

    Serves as a substitute coach as needed due to sickness and other unexpected coach absences

    Coordinate and schedule programs with school directors

    Manage and maintain all sports and activity equipment

    Administrative duties via our class management tool

    Use our applicant tracking system to post jobs and screen potential new coaches

    Initiate contact with applicants and conduct interviews by phone, in person, and in group settings

    Takes initiative to identify a variety of sources for potential coach candidates

    Facilitate the on-boarding process

    Use approved training methods and materials to initially train all new coaches

    Assists with free demo classes as needed

    Monitors and inspects coach performance during probationary periods

    Provides oversight and evaluation to all coaches on consistent basis after probationary period ends

    Coordinates and communicates coach schedules and lesson plans

    Serves as primary point of contact for coaches as well as contacts at schools being served

    Provides weekly reports to franchise owner and regularly consults with them on business demands

    Work Environment and Requirements:

    Outside of classes taught, will work from home or other available location

    Must provide own computer and internet connection

    Must provide own mobile phone with calling plan adequate to handle required demand and with text and voice mail capability

    Teaching schedule may be arranged with preferred days as possible to allow time for other weekly duties

    Must allocate your time to cover teaching schedule, external recruiting, and internal training/coordination

    Must have your own car and maintain appropriate liability insurance

    Travel time is included in compensation unless otherwise noted specifically

    Must meet or exceed any state requirement to work with children

    Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people from children to established business leaders

    Must be able to lift and transport equipment of varying weight and size for classes

    Must be able to execute a series of 30 minute to 1 hour classes that includes bending, stooping, squatting, jumping, jogging, reaching, and talking with a high energy level

    Weekly schedule will be approximately 30-35 hours but may vary up or down depending upon demands at any given time
