  • Responsibilities

    Only need part time instructors, working about 8 hours a week. Great job for stay at home moms or college students that have morning availability and one or two afternoon availability. MUST be able to work thru the school year, Sept. 2019 thru May 2020.

    JumpBunch is the leading national provider of mobile sports and fitness programs for children from toddlers to twelve-year-olds. We get kids moving, we teach kids sports fundamentals, we give kids a health and fitness foundation for life, and most importantly we make it fun! JumpBunch brings a high quality, high-energy program to preschools, daycare facilities, private schools, after-school programs, libraries, recreation/parks departments or any venue where children are gathered. The JumpBunch mission is to instill children with healthy habits and self-confidence by teaching sports fundamentals in a nurturing, non-competitive environment.

    Duties

    Complete training process of 10-15 hours on-site, shadowing and co-instructing.

    Prepare for all classes by reviewing lesson plans.

    Arrive for and begin all classes on time.

    Properly instruct children in the use of our approved curriculum and equipment.

    Positively communicate with school directors and teachers regarding all aspects of the JumpBunch classes.

    Monitor attendance of all registered children and insures they are present.

    Properly complete all requested paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

    Provide advanced notice or coverage for any foreseen absences.

    Provide own transportation with adequate auto insurance coverage.

    Bring all equipment necessary to execute weekly classes.

    Job Requirements

    Must pass a background check and/or FBI fingerprinting as required by state.

    Must be in good physical condition and able to bend, kneel, stoop, jump, jog, and otherwise move actively to execute a class. Must be able to occasionally carry large amounts of equipment.

    Should be enthusiastic, energetic, and pleasant in conversation.

    Must be able to communicate with customers ranging from young children to facility directors.

    Must be prompt, reliable, and able to work independently with no direct supervision.

    Takes initiative to solve problems and be creative in adapting to changing classroom variables.

    Have the ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills.

    Must be able to travel to various locations on Long Island for classes.

    Only need part-time employment to work approximately 6-10 hours per week. Available weekday mornings/afternoons. MUST be able to work thru the summer!
