  • Responsibilities

    Our JumpBunch coaches are fun, energetic, responsible, reliable, engaging and creative! Our coaches get to introduce kids, aged 18-months to 12 years old, to over 75 different sports and fitness activities year round! We provide you the equipment and lesson plans. All you have to do is make it your own and have fun!

    This is a great part time position for college students, personal trainers, group fitness trainers, stay at home parents or anyone who loves children and sports/fitness!

    Future openings: Wednesday 4-5 (after school flag football program) as well as some additional hours based on availability. Need to have knowledge of teaching/playing sports. (This job begins in September)

    We pay our coaches $15-20/hour and have paid training! Come be a part of a program that is making a difference in the lives of kids!

    Our Instructors:

    Are experienced in teaching or coaching young children, especially the 2-5 year age range

    Build a fun, cheery class environment with lots of smiles and laughter. They know how to be silly and get kids to smile while keeping a safe and structured program

    Show the maturity to work independently with minimal supervision

    Adhere to all JumpBunch policies as outlined in the Operations Manual

    Properly complete all requested paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

    Prepare for all classes by reviewing approved, age appropriate lesson plans, music, and equipment.

    Set up and begin each class on time

    Properly instruct children in the use of our approved curriculum and equipment

    Monitor attendance of all registered children

    Positively communicate with school Directors and Teachers regarding all aspects of the JumpBunch® classes

    Wear provided uniform shirts, and represent our company with professional appearance and conduct

    Communicate with parents both verbally and in writing as needed to report children’s progress

    May participate in delivering birthday parties, special events, and trial classes

    Participate as requested in training and meetings of the business

    Provide own transportation with adequate auto insurance coverage and transports all equipment necessary to execute weekly classes

    Demonstrate an ongoing passion for sports and/or fitness

    You have a high school diploma.

    You have or can obtain a medical statement signed by a doctor or nurse practitioner indicating you are fit for employment in this setting and have updated immunizations. This will be required to be completed during your training period and you will be responsible for any expenses incurred.

    You can pass a state and federal fingerprint background check. You will be required to complete a fingerprint background check during your training period and JumpBunch will reimburse you for the cost of the background check.

    You are in good physical condition and able to bend, kneel, stoop, jump, jog, and otherwise move actively to execute a class. Must be able to occasionally carry large amounts of equipment.

    You have reliable transportation.

    You are able to communicate with customers ranging from young children to facility directors.

    You are prompt, reliable, and able to work independently with no direct supervision.

    You possess an understanding of basic customer service skills.

    You are interested only in part-time employment.

    You have a passion for sports and/or fitness.

    You have the patience and desire to teach young children.

    You are a serious applicant.

    Hours:

    Approximately 2-5 hours per week which will typically fall weekdays, between the hours of 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

    Weekend birthday parties also an opportunity for coaches.

    Please note we do not reimburse mileage expenses. Employees typically commute 5-25 minutes to locations to teach classes

    The JumpBunch coach is essential to our success as an organization. As the most visible aspect of the program, the coach represents what customers perceive our brand to be. Listed below are the duties assigned to the JumpBunch coach and requirements to successfully perform those duties.

    Duties

    Prepares for all classes by reviewing approved lesson plans.

    Arrives for and begins all classes on time.

    Properly instruct children in the use of our approved curriculum and equipment.

    Positively communicates with school directors and teachers regarding all aspects of the JumpBunch classes.

    Monitors attendance of all registered children and insures they are present.

    Wears approved uniform and presents a professional image.

    Communicates with parents both verbally and in writing as needed to report children’s progress or difficulty.

    Adheres to all JumpBunch policies as outlined in the Operations Manual.

    Properly completes all requested paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

    Provides advance notice or coverage for any foreseen absences.

    Provides own transportation with adequate auto insurance coverage.

    Brings all equipment necessary to execute weekly classes.

    Job Requirements

    Must pass a background check and/or FBI fingerprinting as required by state.

    Successfully function as a member of a team.

    Must be neat and well groomed.

    Must be in good physical condition and able to bend, kneel, stoop, jump, jog, and otherwise move actively to execute a class. Must be able to occasionally carry large amounts of equipment.

    Should be enthusiastic and pleasant in conversation.

    Must be able to communicate with customers ranging from young children to facility directors.

    Must be prompt, reliable, and able to work independently with no direct supervision.

    Should be able to follow very specific direction and routine.

    Takes initiative to solve problems.

    Should be flexible to work a variety of days and/or times of day.
