    Job Summary

    Marbill Management is a small real estate development company with office operating in San Francisco for 27+ years. We are looking for a Junior Accountant to maintain our back-end accounting for our real estate development entities, non-profit school and the family business. This is an onsite role.

    The Junior Accountant is responsible for handling various accounting functions including accounts payable, billing and collections, general ledger, payroll processing, reconciliations, analysis, budget, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, meets deadlines, works independently, and efficiently manages multiple tasks across finance and accounting functions. This position reports to the Accounting & Office Manager.

    CRITICAL TASKS:

    Accounts Payable. Process vendor invoices, expense reimbursements and A/P payments in compliance with Company policy. Assist in picking up mail, monitoring the A/P mailbox, including researching and resolving vendor/employee inquiries.

    Credit Card Payable. Download credit card statements, classify and key transactions into Quickbooks.

    Accounts Receivable. Manage billing and collections. Assist in picking up mail, monitoring the A/R mailbox, including researching and resolving customer inquiries. Draft donation letters and generate tuition receipts.

    Payroll. Provides support in processing and submitting employee payroll data within the required deadline. Verify that all Payroll changes have the required approval and are in compliance with Company policies. Prepare and calculate manual checks for termination pay, bonus and other payroll payments. Respond to employee questions as needed.

    General Ledger. Create and enter journal entries into Quickbooks for month-end and year-end close.

    Month-End Close and Reconciliation. Provide support to the month-end close process for all assigned accounts, including completing the bank and account reconciliation of assigned accounts within the required timeframe.

    Reporting. Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports. Maintain the appropriate security for all confidential information.

    Budget. Assist Accounting & Office Manager with monthly and annual budgets.

    Family Business. Assist with credit card disputes, medical inquiries, auto and home loan inquiries, household employees’ questions, house maintenance coordination and other tasks as they arise.

    Others. Provide additional support to the accounting team as needed. Assist with the tax coordination, insurance renewal and audit, business registrations and fillings. Scan and download documents. Work on special projects as required.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree, with an emphasis in Accounting is preferred but not required

    Years of Experience

    2+ years’ experience in an accounting support role

    Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Quickbooks

    Experience with Payroll System, preferred
