    Key Responsibilities

    Working closely with the senior accounting team, the Junior Accountant will ensure the accuracy and integrity of daily financial transactions and records. Your primary responsibilities include:

    • Accounts Receivable (AR): Processing and posting customer payments, resolving payment discrepancies, and assisting with collections.
    • Accounts Payable (AP): Reviewing, processing, and recording vendor invoices and managing weekly check runs.
    • Reconciliations: Performing daily and monthly bank and credit card statement reconciliations.
    • Journal Entries: Preparing and posting accurate journal entries to the general ledger as required.
    • Financial Support: Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
    • Reporting: Compiling and analyzing basic financial data to support management reporting and operational needs.
    • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and standard operating procedures.

    What We're Looking For

    We are seeking a sharp, entry-level professional ready to commit to learning and growth.

    • REQUIRED: 1-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping role, OR a recent graduate with a degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
    • Technical Proficiency: High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) is a significant plus.
    • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must for accurate record-keeping.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal staff.
    • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.

      The compensation for this position is expected to range between $60k - $75k annually. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
