Junior Associate – Eviction & Housing Law

Location: Serving King & Snohomish Counties

We’re hiring a Junior Associate Attorney to join a client-centered firm focused on eviction and housing law. This role is ideal for a licensed attorney with 1–3 years of litigation experience, particularly those who have appeared in court and want to gain more trial exposure while working on high-impact cases.

The firm serves both landlords and tenants, with a focus on compliance, respect, and fairness, recognizing the serious impact housing matters have on people’s lives and livelihoods. Prior experience in property management, landlord-tenant law, or real estate is preferred but not required.

This is a hands-on opportunity to build meaningful litigation experience early in your legal career. You’ll work directly with senior attorneys in a flat, collaborative organization that emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and practical learning.

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    • Represent landlords and tenants in eviction cases, including hearings, motions, and occasional trials
    • Meet with clients to understand their circumstances and provide clear legal advice
    • Draft legal documents (pleadings, motions, responses) — training and templates provided
    • Stay current on relevant housing laws, including just cause eviction, security deposit statutes, HB 1217, and HB 1337
    • Manage your caseload with support from a shared legal server and structured systems
    • Participate in weekly case review meetings and contribute to collaborative problem-solving
    • Build relationships with clients, court staff, and community partners
    • Attend local trade fairs and networking events as part of business development efforts
    • Mentor interns and support volunteers when needed
    • Identify recurring legal issues and help shape creative, practical solutions
    • Ensure your work aligns with the firm’s values of fairness, dignity, and accountability

    Benefits & Appreciation:

    • 100% paid medical benefits for employee
    • 401k + matching
    • Unlimited PTO (with a minimum of 1 week off per quarter)
    • Full coverage of bar dues, CLEs, and tech tools
    • Travel stipend for court appearances
    • Dedicated legal assistant support upon reaching performance benchmarks
    • Supportive team culture focused on learning, collaboration, and client service

    Compensation: $75k - $105k + revenue share bonus (DOE)
