Our firm is hiring an associate attorney who will support us by conducting legal research, drafting documents, maintaining client files, and assisting with legal counsel. The ideal candidate will have some courtroom experience and strong legal research and writing skills. Responsibilities: • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations • Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently Qualifications: • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients • Minimum of 5 years experience • Member of the California Bar Association in good standing • Personal Injury law experience Compensation: $200,000
