    Job Description

    Job Title: Junior Content Developer

    Location: HARRISON NJ (On-Site)

    As a Junior Content Developer, you will be responsible for developing, publishing, and optimizing digital content across multiple channels, including desktop, mobile, mobile applications, SMS, and email. This role is ideal for candidates with a Computer Science background and experience using open-source tools and platforms. You will collaborate closely with management and cross-functional teams to develop content solutions, improve processes, and ensure technical accuracy and high-quality delivery.

    What You’ll Do

    • Work with management to develop, implement, and enhance content development and publishing workflows.

    • Independently develop, edit, format, publish, and update digital content.

    • Use open-source Content Management Systems such as WordPress or Drupal to develop and maintain content.

    • Apply technical skills (HTML, CSS, and basic scripting) to ensure proper content structure, rendering, and functionality.

    • Develop content based on business requirements, design specifications, and technical guidelines.

    • Ensure content accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and alignment with brand voice and tone.

    • Follow developer specifications, design guidelines, and best practices during content implementation.

    • Support content delivery timelines by completing assigned tasks efficiently and reliably.

    • Conduct content audits and maintain content inventories to assess accuracy, relevance, and organization.

    • Use analytics tools to monitor content performance and share insights with management for optimization.

    • Work with wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications to implement content in user-centered designs.

    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and project meetings as a technical content contributor.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve basic CMS and publishing issues using open-source tools and documentation.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

    • 2-5 years of experience, internships, or academic projects in content development, web development, or digital publishing.

    • Experience with open-source tools and platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, Git, GitHub, Linux, or similar technologies.

    • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic web technologies.

    • Basic understanding of data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Matomo, or similar platforms.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and cross-functional teams.

    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

    • Understanding of branding, tone, and voice in digital content.
