Junior Corporate/Securities Associate Attorney – Investment Funds
Direct Counsel is seeking a Junior Corporate/Securities Associate to join a prestigious Am Law 100 firm’s Investment Funds group, with a focus on public REIT capital markets. This position is based in the firm’s Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will have experience in equity and capital markets transactions and/or advising public companies on disclosure, corporate governance, and securities law matters. Specific experience in the REIT industry is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise clients on corporate and securities law matters, including SEC reporting and compliance.
Assist with public and private capital markets transactions.
Draft and review disclosure documents, agreements, and other corporate governance materials.
Work closely with clients on regulatory and compliance matters.
Support senior attorneys in all aspects of corporate and securities transactions.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice in North Carolina or eligible for prompt admission.
1-2 years of experience in corporate and securities law, preferably in a large law firm setting.
Strong academic background and immediately transferable skills.
