Junior Estimator
Location: Central Florida Employment Type: Fully Remote, ideally located in Central Florida

Position Summary
The Junior Estimator will support the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive bids for civil construction and environmental services projects. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of estimating or construction experience who are looking to grow within a fast-paced, field-driven environment.
You will assist in analyzing project plans, performing quantity takeoffs, soliciting vendor and subcontractor pricing, and helping build complete project estimates across a range of services including earthwork, site development, utilities, and environmental restoration.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing cost estimates for civil construction and environmental services projects
Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications
Review project plans, scopes, and bid documents to identify requirements
Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
Support the development of detailed bid proposals and cost breakdowns
Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing, and bid logs
Coordinate with project managers, operations, and field teams to validate assumptions
Assist in evaluating project risks, timelines, and logistics
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and scope reviews as needed
Ensure estimates align with company standards for safety, quality, and profitability
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or related field
Exposure to civil construction, site development, utilities, or environmental services preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally
Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in the estimating field
Preferred Background
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
Familiarity with earthwork, grading, underground utilities, erosion control, or restoration scopes
Experience supporting bids for sitework, ROW, or infrastructure projects
