    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Estimator. This role is crucial for accurately determining the scope and cost of projects across our various service lines, including window filming (safety/security, decorative, and solar) and Riot Glass installations. The ideal candidate will possess the technical ability to read and interpret plan sets and the interpersonal skills necessary to support the sales process.

    Key Responsibilities

    Estimating and Project Analysis

    Review and accurately interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications (plan sets) to identify material and labor requirements.

    Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely cost estimates for window film projects (solar, decorative, safety/security) and Riot Glass installations.

    Determine the necessary quantities of materials, labor hours, and equipment needed for each project.

    Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to understand project scope and client needs.

    Assist in maintaining a database of costs, vendors, and subcontractor information.

    Sales Support

    Work closely with the sales team to develop competitive and profitable proposals.

    Interact with potential clients, vendors, and partners to gather information necessary for the estimating process.

    Present and explain estimates to the sales team and, on occasion, directly to clients.

    Assist in follow-up and proposal revisions based on client feedback.

    Administration

    Organize and maintain all project documentation, including plan sets, specifications, and estimate files.

    Ensure all estimates adhere to company standards and regulatory requirements.

    Contribute to the continuous improvement of the estimating process.

    Qualifications

    Required

    Proven ability to read and accurately interpret architectural plan sets and construction documents.

    1–2 years of experience in a sales-related role (e.g., retail sales, customer service, or inside sales) that demonstrates strong communication and client interaction skills. We welcome candidates new to the construction industry who have relevant sales experience.

    High proficiency in mathematics and data analysis.

    Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

    Preferred

    Experience in the window, glass, or construction industry.

    Familiarity with estimating software or tools.

    Compensation

    $45,000-$70,000 per year based on experience

    This is an in office position at our Austin, Texas location
