    Job Title: Junior Estimator
    Department: Operations
    Reports to: Project Control Manager
    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Summary
    The Junior Estimator serves as the Operations Department specialist In preparing customer project estimates under the supervision of the Project Control Manager. This role focuses on the timely and accurate preparation of project estimates to support the Project Manager Coordinators in completing the project Scope of Work. This position will also assist the Project Control Manager with other project and cost management tasks as needed.
    This position is critical to maintaining the company's reputation for excellence and ensuring that every project meets or exceeds company and industry standards.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Quality Assurance Duties:
    • Preparing Project Breakdowns: These will be line by line estimates of each project with multiple options based on available funding and customer desires. These estimates must be accurate and complete as they form the basis for material and labor orders once the Scope of Work is signed.
    • Estimate worksheets: 1 page summary of the insurance estimate for the PMCs to assist with preparation of the project breakdowns
    • Complete Certificates of Completion with the public adjusters
    • Crew invoice validation and approval
    • Job approvals and PMC assignment
    • Coastal Payment Authority (their approval process)
    **
    Education and/or Experience**
    • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in home remodeling, roofing, construction, or a related field preferred.
    • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to spot workmanship issues.
    • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of construction processes, safety procedures, and home improvement products.
    • Tools: Proficiency with tablets, mobile apps, and CRM or job tracking systems.
    • Other Requirements: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to job sites daily.

    Key Competencies:
    • Knowledge of how to fill out Certificates of Completion
    • Ability to get Crew invoice validation and approval
    • Knowledge of how to get job approvals and PMC assignment
    • An understanding of Coastal Payment Authority (their approval process)
    • Experience with material orders/labor tickets
